Kadoo ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Kadoo is a personal travel planner and memory keeper — it is not a social network, and we do not sell your data.
Information we collect
Account information. You can use Kadoo anonymously without an account. If you choose to sign up, we collect your email address (or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple or Google) through Firebase Authentication to secure and sync your data.
Your travel content. Trips, activities, costs, flights, visited countries, photos you add, and memories you create are stored in Firebase Firestore so they can sync across your devices and remain available offline.
Search and place data. When you search for places or activities, your queries are sent through our secure Cloud Functions to Google Places to return results. Cover-image searches use Unsplash, and flight lookups use Aviationstack.
AI suggestions. Place suggestions are generated on your device using Apple Intelligence. The content used to generate them is not sent to our servers.
How we use your information
We use the information solely to provide and improve the app: to authenticate you, sync and back up your trips and memories, return place and flight results you request, and diagnose technical issues. We do not use your travel content for advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
Third-party services
Kadoo relies on Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions), Google Places, Unsplash, and Aviationstack. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. We share only what is necessary for each feature to work.
Data retention & deletion
Your content is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual trips and memories at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at leobmaffei@gmail.com and we will process your request.
Children's privacy
Kadoo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
